CATL and CMA CGM Group sign cooperation agreement for green shipping

On May 7 local time, CATL signed a cooperation agreement with the CMA CGM Group of France. Under the agreement, the two parties will focus on offering comprehensive and complete solutions for greenhouse gas emissions reduction by making the best of their respective strengths in various fields. 


The two parties will jointly explore opportunities for potential cooperation in research and development and plan to establish a joint venture to meet the growing needs for environmental protection and support energy transformation and industrial upgrading. The two companies will also carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as electric vessels, commercial vehicles, warehousing and logistics, and renewable energies, aiming to jointly promote the transition towards digitalization and low-carbon development.

In the future, the two parties will seek deep collaboration in aspects such as technology, market, and resources, jointly promote the development of electric vessels and other means of green transportation, strengthen cooperation in digitalization and green low-carbon transformation, contributing to the further development of the new energy sector in both China and France.
