CATL Signs MOU on Strategic Cooperation with Min Expressway

On February 22, CATL's subsidiary Contemporary Amperex Energy Service Technology Ltd. (CAES) and Min Expressway’s subsidiary Fujian Provincial Expressway Energy Development Co., Ltd. signed an MOU on strategic cooperation. Chen Weifeng, general manager of CAES and Huang Wenquan, chairman of Fujian Provincial Expressway Energy Development Co., Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.


According to the memorandum, both parties will establish a joint venture to build an expressway battery swapping network in east China’s Fujian Province, thus promoting the construction and operation of battery swapping stations in expressway service areas and terminal stations in Fujian. Both parties will also expand the relevant business in the surrounding provinces in due time to accelerate the vehicle electrification.
