With regard to intelligent chassis, the two parties will establish in-depth cooperation on the next generation of CIIC (CATL integrated intelligent chassis) skateboard chassis for pure electric platform, doing a joint research on the architecture, system, technology, cost, and performance balance of skateboard chassis, and developing products based on the needs of different application scenarios, intelligentization and customization.

Promoting technological innovations through in-depth cooperation

In the field of battery swapping business, BAIC Group has advantages in the development of new energy vehicles, especially in the development and marketing of battery swap models. It has a wealth of expierence in product development and marketing of battery-swap taxi and ride-hailing through years of dedication to the sector in China. After launching battery swap solution EVOGO, CATL has increased efforts to promote the standardization of battery swapping by developing new technologies and business models. By leveraging their respective advantages, both parties and CATL's wholly-owned subsidiaries CAES will work together to promote the development of battery swap models and swappable battery blocks, the circulation of swappable battery blocks and the management of battery-related data, as well as regional cooperation on battery swap stations. In addition, they will cooperate with QIJI Energy to advance the development and sales of heavy-duty truck battery swap models, as well as battery sales, leasing and energy services related to that.

During the event, BAIC Group, CATL, and CAES signed a framework agreement on the battery swap project. BATC and CAIT-SH signed a letter of intent for cooperation on key technologies of new generation platform.

CATL and BAIC Group have maintained long-term cooperation. In 2022, the two parties have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote the development of the new energy vehicle market. In the future, both parties will work closely to facilitate new energy technology innovation and product upgrading, provide users with better travel services, and speed up e-mobility transition.
