On June 21, CATL and Nanjing Municipal People's Government signed a strategic agreement for comprehensive cooperation on the construction of zero-carbon city.
According to the agreement, the two parties will establish in-depth cooperation in multiple fields such as photovoltaic and energy storage pilot projects, electrification of transportation, creation of energy innovation platform, and zero-carbon industrial park construction, and will make a joint effort to promote the integrated development of a complete industry chain involving R&D, production and recycling.
During the ceremony, district governments in Nanjing also signed cooperation agreements with subsidiaries of CATL. A number of project cooperation agreements were reached respectively between Xuanwu District Government and CAES, among Lishui District Government, CAIT-SH and Fullgood Auto, and between Jiangning Economic Development Zone and CGE. Cooperation agreements includes projects such as launching the first batch of charging and swapping infrastructure, vehicles featuring with CATL Integrated Intelligent Chassis, and photovoltaic power generation.
As a model city of green and low-carbon development in China, Nanjing is trying to catch the opportunity of energy transition to upgrade the industry chain, and promote the comprehensive smart and green development. CATL will leverage its technological advantages and vertical integration to play an active part in building Nanjing into a zero carbon city.
