On June 4, the first supercharging station in Xizang's Medog county, which is donated by CATL, was officially put into operation.
Medog is located in the eastern section of the Himalayas on China's southwestern border. Its mountainous terrain and varied climate bring great challenges to the construction of new energy projects. Based on the actual situation of the county, CATL worked with SUNNIC, a leading provider of intelligent BESS charging station, to develop superfast charging station solution featuring high level of protection and safety, and high-efficiency, which ensures the successful completion and operation of the charging station, and made history by building the first superfast charging facilities for new energy vehicles in Medog county.
Supported by the flexible charging power disctritution, the supercharging station in Medog county can provide efficient charging services for dozens of new energy vehicles at the same time. And together with the strong performance of Shenxing supercharging battery, which can deliver 400 km of driving range with a 10-minute charge, the superfast charging station will greatly facilitate the development of new energy vehicles in Medog county and even the entire Xizang autonomous region.
As the supercharging station in Medog county goes into operation, CATL will continue to play an active role for the implementation of zero-carbon strategy and transportation electrification in the Xizang autonomous region.
